Choose a cycle for the person and the ride
Looking for a second-hand cycle for daily travel, exercise or a child? Explore bicycle ads across Gujarat and compare the type with how it will be used. Depending on current ads, you may find single-speed, geared or children’s cycles. Confirm the actual viewing location before travelling.
Ask for frame and wheel size, then check whether the rider can comfortably reach the handlebar and brakes. Seat adjustment alone may not make an unsuitable frame fit. For a child, choose a cycle they can control now rather than a larger one they are expected to grow into.
Check the condition before testing the ride
Look for cracks, bent parts or signs of a past crash. Check that wheels are secure, tyres hold air and brakes work; ask about chain wear, gear shifting and previous repairs. If damage or braking is uncertain, have a cycle mechanic inspect it before riding. A clean photo or “like new” claim is not proof that it is safe.
With the seller’s permission, try the cycle only after basic checks, wearing a helmet in a suitable area away from traffic. Show buyers the cycle they will actually receive
Photograph the whole cycle and show wear or damaged areas clearly. Give the brand and model if known, frame and wheel size, gear or single-speed details, previous repairs and known faults. Say which extras, such as a carrier or lock, are included and state the asking price and collection area.
Discuss how you obtained the cycle and any purchase record you can provide; hide private details in public photos. Agree inspection, any test ride, handover and payment with the buyer. Check funds in your own account before handing over the cycle. Delivery or servicing is included only if you and the buyer agree it.
