Creating Your First Account
Getting started is easy. Download the app or visit our website. Click 'Login/Register', enter your mobile number, and verify with the OTP. Complete your profile with your name and location to start exploring.
Browsing & Searching
Use the search bar to find specific items. You can filter results by category, location, price range, and condition. Save your favorite searches to get notified when new items are listed.
Mastering Ad Posting
Taking Great Photos
Photos are the most important part of your ad. Clean the item, use good lighting (daylight is best), take photos from multiple angles, and include close-ups of any details or defects.
Writing Descriptions that Sell
Be honest and descriptive. Mention the brand, model, age, condition, and reason for selling. Include keywords that buyers might search for.
Pricing Strategy
Check similar listings to see the market price. Pricing competitively will help you sell faster. You can also mark your price as 'Negotiable' to invite offers.
Managing Your Ads
Go to 'My Ads' to view your active, pending, and sold listings. You can edit active ads, mark items as sold, or delete ads you no longer need.
For Businesses
Setting Up Your Store
Once you upgrade to a Business Account, you can customize your Store page. Add your logo, cover image, business description, and contact hours. This is your digital storefront on Zutilo.
Using Analytics
Business accounts get access to insights. Track how many people view your ads, click on your phone number, and engage with your store. Use this data to optimize your listings.
Bulk Posting
If you have a lot of inventory, contact our support team to learn about bulk posting tools and API integrations available for enterprise partners.
Boost Your Sales
Top Ad vs. Bump Up
Top Ads stay at the very top of the category for a set period (e.g., 7 days). Bump Ups move your ad to the top of the list once, like a fresh post. Use Top Ads for long-term visibility and Bump Ups for a quick boost.
Urgent Label
The 'Urgent' label adds a red tag to your ad, signaling to buyers that you want a quick sale. This often attracts bargain hunters and serious buyers.
Payment Issues
If a payment fails, the money is usually refunded automatically within 5-7 business days. If you don't receive a refund or your premium feature isn't active, contact support with your transaction ID.
Stay Safe
Spotting Scams
Be wary of buyers who want to pay without seeing the item, ask for your bank details immediately, or send fake payment screenshots. Never scan QR codes sent by buyers.
Meeting Safely
Always meet in a busy public place like a mall or coffee shop. Avoid inviting strangers into your home if possible. If selling large items from home, have a friend or family member with you.
Account Security
Never share your OTP with anyone, even if they claim to be from Zutilo support. Zutilo staff will never ask for your OTP.
Your Account
Updating Profile
Keep your profile updated with a real photo and accurate location. This builds trust with other users.
Notification Settings
Manage your push and email notifications in Settings. You can choose to be notified about new messages, ad approvals, and promotional offers.
Privacy Controls
You can control who sees your phone number. You can choose to hide it and only communicate via Zutilo chat.
