Start with the books your school asks for
Looking for second-hand school books in Gujarat? Compare the class, subject, board, medium and exact title with the list your school provides. Depending on current ads, you may find textbooks, readers or study guides, including NCERT or Gujarat board books. Ask for cover and edition-page photos rather than relying on the ad title alone.
Check the required edition or book code where your school specifies one. Textbook titles and contents can change, so an older book is not automatically suitable for this year. Confirm uncertain matches with the teacher before paying. For mainly competitive-exam preparation, explore the separate exam-book ads.
Check whether the copy is usable for schoolwork
Look for missing or loose pages, water damage and writing that hides text, diagrams or maps. Check the contents and the last page, not only the cover. For exercise books and workbooks, see how much is already filled in and whether there is enough usable space for the student’s own work.
Ask for a list of every book in a set and compare it with what you need. Confirm the actual location and collection or delivery cost; a low bundle price may still leave required subjects missing.
