આ ચેક કરો:

• Compressor sound: steady sound સારું; rattling, knocking, harsh buzzing કે heavy vibration warning sign છે.
• Cooling speed: compressor ચાલુ થયા પછી થોડા સમયમાં ઠંડી હવા આવવી જોઈએ.
• Coils અને fins: rust, oil stains, crushed fins, dust, fungus smell કે leakage signs જુઓ.
• Filters: dirty filters common છે, પણ broken અથવા missing filters poor maintenance બતાવે છે.
• Remote અને controls: temperature, mode, fan speed, swing, timer, display અને buttons test કરો.
• Outdoor unit: split AC માટે rust, fan noise, pipe joint પાસે oil stains, damaged fins, wiring અને copper pipe insulation જુઓ.

Weak cooling ને ફક્ત “small servicing” માનીને final ન કરો. Dirty coils, gas leakage, compressor wear અથવા poor installation પણ reason હોઈ શકે છે.

Air cooler AC કરતાં simple છે, પણ પાણીના ઉપયોગથી leakage, pump problem અને pad problem common છે. Tank માં પાણી નાખીને cooler test કરવો.

આ ચેક કરો:

• Water pump: પાણી બધા pads સુધી સરખું પહોંચે છે કે નહીં.
• Fan motor: થોડા મિનિટ ચલાવી burning smell, wobble, humming કે speed drop જુઓ.
• Cooling pads: wood wool અથવા honeycomb pads પર smell, dust, fungus, tear કે hard-water deposits જુઓ.
• Tank leakage: થોડું પાણી ભરી corners, drain plug, wheel area અને bottom rust તપાસો.
• Body અને shutters: cracks, loose screws, broken shutters, water-level indicator, switches, knobs, cable અને back panel જુઓ.
• Mobility: cooler ખસેડીને wheels ચેક કરો.

ગુજરાતમાં cooler માટે ventilation ખૂબ મહત્વનું છે. Cooler ને “AC type cooler” કહેવામાં આવે તો પણ તે compressor AC નથી.

2. Original bill અથવા warranty card છે?
3. વેચવાનું કારણ શું છે?
4. છેલ્લે service અથવા cleaning ક્યારે કરાવ્યું?
5. AC gas ક્યારેય refill કરાવ્યો છે?
6. Cooler pump, motor અથવા pads બદલાવ્યા છે?
7. Payment પહેલાં 10 મિનિટ test કરી શકું?
8. Remote, stand, brackets, copper pipes, drain pipe અથવા fittings સાથે મળશે?
9. Removal, loading અને transport કોણ સંભાળશે?

Clear answers deal સરળ બનાવે છે. Confusing answers હોય તો inspection વધુ carefully કરો.

Installation, pickup અને transport checks#

Seller પાસે જતાં પહેલાં તમારી જગ્યા માપો. Window AC માટે window size, split AC માટે indoor wall અને outdoor placement, cooler માટે floor space, door width, staircase અને vehicle space ચેક કરો.

Split AC removal માટે technician રાખવો. Refrigerant gas અને copper pipes properly handle ન થાય તો gas leak થઈ શકે છે અને extra repair cost આવી શકે છે.
