સુરત શહેર આસપાસ જૂની બાઈક કે સ્કૂટર શોધો છો? રોજ ક્યાં જવું છે, કોણ ચલાવશે અને કેટલો ખર્ચ કરી શકો છો તે વિચારો. જોવા જતાં પહેલાં ચોક્કસ સરનામું પૂછો; જાહેરાતમાં વિસ્તારનું નામ હોય એટલાથી મુલાકાતની જગ્યા નક્કી થતી નથી.
બેઠકની ઊંચાઈ, ગાડીનું વજન, પાછળ બેસનારની સગવડ અને ચલાવવામાં સરળતા સરખાવો. જાહેરાતો પ્રમાણે રોજિંદા ઉપયોગની બાઈક, એક્ટિવા કે બીજાં સ્કૂટર અને ઇલેક્ટ્રિક ગાડી મળી શકે છે. ઇલેક્ટ્રિક ગાડી માટે ચાર્જ ક્યાં કરશો અને એક ચાર્જમાં તમારી મુસાફરી પૂરી થશે કે નહીં તે તપાસો.
ગાડીની હાલત અને ખરીદી પછીનો ખર્ચ જાણો
દિવસના પ્રકાશમાં ગાડી જોવા જાઓ અને અકસ્માત, મરામત તથા સર્વિસ વિશે પૂછો. ટાયરનો ઘસારો, તેલનું લીકેજ, નુકસાન અને અસામાન્ય અવાજ તપાસો. બ્રેક, લાઇટ અને ગાડી ચાલુ થાય છે કે નહીં તે જુઓ. શંકા હોય તો ખરીદતા પહેલાં મેકેનિક પાસે તપાસ કરાવો.
સર્વિસ, ટાયર, બેટરી બદલવા અને જરૂરી કાગળોની પ્રક્રિયા માટે પણ પૈસા રાખો. ઓછા ભાવે મળતી ગાડીનો કુલ ખર્ચ હંમેશાં ઓછો હોય એવું નથી. ઇલેક્ટ્રિક સ્કૂટરમાં બેટરી કેટલા સમયથી વપરાય છે, મરામત થઈ છે કે નહીં, ચાર્જરની હાલત અને બાકી વોરંટીની શરતો જાણી લો.
ગાડી વેચનારની મંજૂરી અને કાગળો તપાસો
નોંધણીના કાગળોમાં આપેલી વિગતો ગાડી સાથે મેળ ખાતી હોય તે તપાસો. જાહેરાત આપનાર નોંધાયેલ માલિક છે કે માલિકની મંજૂરીથી વેચે છે તે જાણો. લાગુ પડતો વીમો, પ્રદૂષણના કાગળો અને બાકી લેણાં તપાસો. માલિકી બદલવા માટે સત્તાવાર પ્રક્રિયા કરાવવી પડે છે.
પૈસા, કાગળો અને ગાડી સોંપવાની શરતો લખીને રાખો. માત્ર ખાનગી રસીદથી સત્તાવાર માલિકી બદલવાની પ્રક્રિયા પૂરી થતી નથી. તમારી બાઈક કે સ્કૂટરના તાજેતરના ફોટા મૂકો. મોડેલ, વર્ષ, મીટરમાં દેખાતા કિલોમીટર, જાણીતી ખામી, સર્વિસ અને માંગેલો ભાવ જણાવો. તમે માલિક છો કે માલિક તરફથી વેચો છો તે સ્પષ્ટ કરો. વ્યક્તિગત ઓળખ કે કાગળોના નંબર જાહેરાતમાં ન મૂકો.
ગાડી ક્યાં અને ક્યારે જોઈ શકાય તે જણાવો. ખરીદનાર સાથે મુલાકાત અને ચલાવી જોવાની શરતો નક્કી કરો. ચાલકને હેલ્મેટ પહેરવાનું કહો અને એ વાહન માટે જરૂરી લાઇસન્સ તેની પાસે છે તે તપાસો. સલામત રીતે ચલાવી જોવું શક્ય ન હોય તો મેકેનિક પાસે તપાસ કરાવવાની સગવડ આપો. ગાડી આપતાં પહેલાં તમારા ખાતામાં પૈસા આવ્યા છે તે જાતે તપાસો; માત્ર મોકલેલા ફોટાને ચુકવણીનો પુરાવો ન માનો.
